You Belong Here.

Why do visitors matter at Spirit of Excellence (United in Christ) Ministries?

We believe every person who visits our church is here for a purpose. Maybe you're exploring faith for the first time. Maybe you're returning after time away. Maybe you're looking for a church home where you can grow and serve. Whatever your story, it matters to us because it matters to God. Visitors remind us that the doors of the church—and the heart of God—are always open. You're not an outsider looking in; you're someone we've been waiting to meet.
  • Your story matters here - First-timer or returning after years away, we believe God brought you here for a reason.

  • Church is meant to be open - Visitors don't interrupt what we're doing; they remind us why we're here.

  • You belong before you believe - We're not waiting for you to have it all figured out; we're just glad you're here.

You Belong Here.

Visiting a new church for the first time? We understand it can feel overwhelming. That’s why our friendly ushers are here to greet you, answer your questions, and help you feel welcome and comfortable.

Where are you located and what are the service times?

Spirit of Excellence Church is located at 9 Co Rd 287 in Oxford, Mississippi. We gather every Sunday for powerful worship, anointed preaching from Bishop Kelvin Ransey, and authentic Christian fellowship. Our church family offers outstanding worship and a full children's ministry.

Sunday Service: 10:30 AM

Wednesday Bible Study: 7:15 PM

Whether you're visiting Oxford, a student at Ole Miss, or a local resident, we invite you to come experience the excellence!

What should I wear to church? / What's the atmosphere like?

Seriously, come as you are. Sweatpants? Fine. Suit and tie? Also fine. We don't care what you wear—we're just glad you're here. Our Sunday service at 10:30 AM is relaxed but powerful. The worship will move you (our choir doesn't play!), and Bishop Kelvin Ransey's preaching is real talk—no fluff, just God's Word applied to everyday life.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or you've been coming for years, you'll find authentic people, genuine worship, and a message that actually speaks to where you are right now.

No pressure. No judgment. Just real church for real people.

Do I need to bring a Bible?

If you own a Bible, feel free to bring it! Bishop Ransey teaches straight from God's Word, so you'll want to follow along as he unpacks Scripture.

Don't have a Bible with you? No problem! Many of our members use their phones or tablets to follow along using Bible apps. All the verses are also displayed on our screens so you can easily keep up whether you have a physical Bible, a device, or neither.

Come however works best for you—we just want you to receive the Word!

Can I bring coffee or drinks into the service?

Absolutely! We want you comfortable. Feel free to grab coffee, tea, or water before you head into the worship center. Staying hydrated (or caffeinated!) helps you stay engaged with the message.

We're more concerned about you encountering God than worrying about your cup. So yes, bring your drink and settle in!

What about my kids?

Bring them! We've got Children's Church where kids learn about Jesus through Bible stories, crafts, worship, and fun activities made just for them.

Our children's ministry team will greet you when you arrive and get your kids situated. All our volunteers are background-checked and love pouring into kids. Your children will have a blast while learning about God!

How long does a church service last?

Plan for about 90 minutes. We start at 10:30 AM with a friendly welcome and Spirit-filled worship that'll get you on your feet.

After announcements, Bishop Ransey teaches straight from God's Word, no fluff, just practical biblical truth that speaks to your everyday life. He breaks down Scripture in a way that challenges you and helps you grow closer to Jesus.

Here's the best part: Don't leave right away! Hang around after service and talk with people. That's where real connections happen and where church becomes family.

How do I get connected here?

Glad you asked! Getting connected at Spirit of Excellence is easy—just show up ready to engage.
